My stepbrother (4 years older than me) had raped me from age 7-12 and I got pregnant at age 12… I did not tell my parents right away and the rape contunued for a few months. I had to tell my mom when i had to go in for an x-ray and discovered i was nearly 20 weeks pregnant(no weight gain, baby belly or symptoms and i was about 110lbs). Things blew up that night. My parents did not believe me, but for my safety made my step brother move out. Over the couple weeks after that my mother made me get an abortion so i could take a polygraph or lie detector to see who was lying… He refused to take one and i, of course passed. My parents did not want him to have any jail time, just counseling. I an still having a hard time dealing with this. I am now married and have a baby of my own. My husband knows what happened to me but neither of us really know what to do. I have horrible mood swings, flashbacks and nightmares to this day. I’m not on any types od meds and never have been. Does anyone know what we can do?
