4 1/2 Month Old Sleepless Baby & Very Tired Mom = Help/advice Needed!!?

As a newborn my son only slept for 5 hours during the day and woke up every 2 hours at night. Here we are 4.5 months later and he is only sleeping on average 3 hours during the day. Night time is the biggest challenge we are still facing. He is waking up every 2 hours and after nearly 5 months of this, I am absolutely exhausted! I am exclusively breastfeeding and feel that I have tried everything to try and get him to sleep through the night better. When he wakes he cries right away and often it will be more like screaming which makes me think he has intestinal pain of some sort. I have had him to the doctor twice to check for hernias etc….they say he is completely healthy. He is gaining weight and growing at a steady pace! I have also taken him to a holitic therapist/chiropractor to see if he needs readjusting but everything seems to be be good there too. At night time I have added a bottle of goatsmilk infant formula before bedtime to try and tie him over and get him through the night. That doesn’t seem to be doing anything! I have tried rescue remedy, Weleda colic powder, Weleda Sleep drops and even Weleda teething relief (in the event it was the start of teething). Nothing has worked so far! I have even tried infant massage and gently massaging his tummy and giving him a warm bath before bed! It is getting incredible frustrating because I am becoming more and more sleep deprived and I worry that he isn’t getting enough sleep either. Sometimes when he wakes during the night he cried then after feeding just looks at me and smiles. He is generally very energetic and happy during the day. He has been holding his head up since he was 2 weeks old and has been very observant since day one. Even the midwives said they haven’t seen a baby like it! I am determined not to give up and find a way to help him sleep through the night….does anyone have any advice or suggestions….I would take them gladly!
