My Mom Kept Her Milk Supply Up For A Year Only Pumping?

I want to bottle feed my daughter my breast milk.
But I constantly get told my supply will go down.
My mom bottle fed me breast milk until I was a year old and said she never had a supply problem.
She pumped every 2 hours, just like how a baby eats every 2 hours.
Has anyone else only pumped and kept their supply up just like any other nursing mother.
I thought as long as my breast are being used, no need for the supply to go down because my body would make more as ling as I’m putting it touse. Anyone else do this?
